Spectators slots locked at 4. And if you change it, you're a custom server. They cant be serious.

Check spectator slots. Mine was set to 4.

Post on GCN's (gaming community network) forums. There are a lot of communities there that might listen. Im going to be switching soon, just wanted to hold out for a few days.

I think all server owners should drop Official and switch to ranked.

thats what it will come down to if they keep throttling control on Official. if my server is going to sit empty, i might as well have control over it.

mine is showing 30 but the adaptive slots functionn doesnt seem to be working. the server is empty and usually reads 0/8.

does it truly balance the teams? we have so many rounds that go 700-0 and the losing team ends up losing half the players after the round. I am running official right now so i have no way to balance but i'm just curious how well the balancing works with ranked servers.

The Procon forums are great. You will get fast responses for any issues that you run into. Same goes for plugins and plugin enhancements.

Crash, I set up B3 for two COD4 servers last year on an unmanaged VDS. It would probably be wise to attempt the installation yourself as there will be times you will need/want to change a config setting and installing B3 will help educate you on where those files are and which ones need to be edited...

Procon is probably the best RCON tool out there. I know B3 is working on a solution but not sure how far along they are. I use Procon and its great...although I also use the NFO provided console which is nice too. I like having Procon as they have an app for iOS so i can check on my server wherever ...
