It's an easy fix, unfortunately support gets rare as the programs age increases.
I think this is just 'not a priority' for valve, the fix can be found here. https://github.com/dgibbs64/HLDS-appmanifest

Re: Ubuntu Routing Issue (cant bind hlds properly)
Okay, I wasn't sure if there was a configured error or if I'm not executing the command right, so I added the rule via the control panel firewall interface (iptables rule is still active) and I am still experiencing the same issue, just to check do you run your hlds instances with +ip or -ip on the ...

Re: Ubuntu Routing Issue (cant bind hlds properly)
cant seem to edit my post, so what I learned is.. this probably cant be done without at least using routing tables, even then I am unsure as all the info I find about this mention doing this from two different interfaces, I am unsure how this works with just one single ethernet interface.. my knowle...

Re: Ubuntu Routing Issue (cant bind hlds properly)
If I remember correctly, this stems from a very old issue that Valve never fixed with port binding over TCP on Linux. Game servers would attempt to connect to the Steam master server via TCP, which didn't respect port binding. Steam would see the traffic from the base interface IP address, and list...

Ubuntu Routing Issue (cant bind hlds properly)
Hello everyone, I run a small community for Team Fortress Classic, one of the FPS 'mod turned full game' releases from valve on the goldsrc engine. I have been spoiled all my life with being able to have access to the default port for my servers and have continued this for over a decade now, however...

HLDS Timeouts
Hello everyone, I run about 5 hlds servers on a 4 core windows server, since about 6 months ago, I have been troubleshooting an issue that causes 95% of all connected players (on all servers) to be disconnected with a 'timed out' message I have never encountered this before in all my time as a serve...

There is no problem.. you need to flush your DNS entries or just wait until they manually expire C:\Users\LGM>ping comp.emdclan.com Pinging comp.emdclan.com [104.153.108.119] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 104.153.108.119: bytes=32 time=46ms TTL=54 Reply from 104.153.108.119: bytes=32 time=46ms T...

Re: Linux HLDS (5787)?
Can't you still download from the older hldsupdatetool? I thought the files were still there, just an older version. It has been a while since I used it, I could be wrong. hldsupdatetool content servers are offline From what I know you can still use custom sprays in latest HLDS. Also by moving back...

Linux HLDS (5787)?
Does anyone have the core files for the 5787 Linux HLDS build? I inadvertently updated a server with steamCMD forgetting that Alfred Reynolds does not like custom sprays, and to appeal to the masses, id like to revert the HLDS to an older version that supports custom sprays. if anyone still has thes...

Re: Server not showing up on master server list or game-moni
I do not know much about counter strike as I run the tfc community, while I understand that people are against nosteam, its hard to keep out of it as nosteam contributes for around 70% of all traffic in (most) goldsrc games, a pretty good reason to start making your favorite source games f2p with a ...

Re: Monitoring hlds_run on Linux
When I had my linux VDS, I used a custom control panel to monitor my servers called ULTIMATE GAMESERVER CONTROL CENTER (UGCC) which did a very good job of monitoring my servers, I am not sure if it features cpu usage on linux (although this was about a year ago, so it might now) however, it sounds l...

Re: Randomly Slow Load Times
Does your server experience high CPU Load? if not, have you optimized your MySQL server? I have had problems with getting MySQL optimized well, but once I did I saw less slow-loads, the problem with slow-loads was not that the server was waiting MySQL, but rather than the HDD was burdened with read/...
