Re: Europe
It will likely be a long time before we expand to other nations. Right now we are strictly in the USA. From a business standpoint, expanding to other nations introduces many complications that have to be addressed. A second tax code would have to be complied with, customer support would have to be a...

Re: Really bad latency/timeout on VDS
Seeing timeouts before the last hop is nothing to be concerned about, as some routers de-prioritize ping requests for real traffic. You are still reaching the destination without that high level of loss. We talk about this more here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4706 Bey...

It should be a lot sooner than that. Maybe just a few more minutes.

Re: Simultaneous connections
In a case like that, a person's browser would just have to wait a moment before the browser can load the page, since it is not likely to stay at 50 connections for much more than just a quick moment. If you are wondering if about some sort of notification that lets you know if your site is getting s...

Re: Ingame server commands on BC2
That sets which admins have priority over others, if set so. The little black triangle next to that option needs to be clicked on so that access can be granted to individual commands. That is how access itself is granted.

Re: Ingame server commands on BC2
If you are referring to our admin daemon for BC2, you would just need to make sure it is enabled in the control panel, and have yourself listed as an admin with the desired level of access (set by clicking on the black triangle and selecting the check boxes). If it is still not working with that all...

Re: Unmanaged VDS
HPET is the High Performance Event Timers option for VDS servers. You can find the option on the "server control" section of the control panel, specifically at the very bottom after clicking to expand for more options. As for measurable information, knowing what the server FPS is doing, ch...

Re: How to upload files to VDS (windows OS)?
Remote desktop is specific to the Windows OS. I'm not sure if the MAC OS has an alternative for it, or if a 3rd party solution is available.

Re: Site Hacked have questions
Assuming you no longer have any sort of admin access to the site, the only way you could upload a backup of the database is to install and use PhpMyAdmin. It has database import and export functions you can use to upload a database backup, as well as other functions to manually work with databases.

Re: Member has 6 sec lag beginning of every round.
That would depend a bit on what game it is. If it is one of the HL1/HL2/OB based games, looking at net_graph 3 or 4 should show if there is any choke or loss. Problems found there can often be corrected by adjusting rate settings.

Re: forums
If the administration control panel link brings up a blank page then there may be a problem with your phpBB installation. If others have access to it, you may want to have them try as well, just to double check. Did your phpBB installation come as part of other software, like it does with phpnuke? I...
