Pretty sure thats a client issue not server and Valve needs to fix it. Check steam forums where everyone else is complaining.

If you want it to be even MORE convenient you can run one as a service on Windows, I have that file somewhere.

Maybe its one of those windows only command line options, I have never seen an error box on any of my servers.

Starting your server with -nocrashdialog will make the error message go away if that helps...

Set your settings like this and it will play from what sound is coming from your computer instead of your mic.
