Re: Different games, running on the same VM

Also it doesn't show up on the local servers list That list only shows servers on the same network as you. It wouldn't show a Minecraft server on a VDS because it's on a completely different network. made sure that the minecraft client was allowed through the firewall. I think TimeX meant checking ...

Re: Different games, running on the same VM

Those are things you could do on an unmanaged server, but not a managed one. Did you mean managed?

Re: Different games, running on the same VM

I think you might be thinking of managed VDS? This is something you can enable on the order page, the radio labelled "Managed game-server-only VDS" -- though note that this can only be done if the server has at least 10 cores making it cost $60 or more. Though, it will provide free IPs for...

Rolling access / error log deletions

Today I wanted to check for a specific access 2 days ago, only to remember that NFO deletes the access / error log on the first day of a new month. This is likely because disk space is not free, however, could you consider rolling deletions to ensure that nothing that is less than a month old is del...

Re: How exactly does NFO get profit?

They're actually pretty reasonable costs, and are not terribly different from other providers, though the service is better. AWS just massively overcharges which makes people unaware of how much stuff really costs. Azure is the other huge bitch in the server industry. (I don't work for NFO by the wa...

You can use any email client you want, RoundCube is just one web client hosted by NFo. Thunderbird is a popular choice.

Re: Getting included webhosting set up (I have a game server)

Yes, a VDS (not a VPS) is different from a game server.

By "email software" do you mean the web client software or the actual email server software itself? RoundCube is the web client at webmail.nfoservers.com

Re: "Error: The recipient you specified cannot currently accept donations through our system."

That message is indeed account specific and it is best to contact us to take a look. However, it is often caused by the recipient not having a payment source on their account, which is needed to activate a subscription and use donation funds. That gives this message: "Error: The recipient you ...

Re: "Error: The recipient you specified cannot currently accept donations through our system."

Hm, I've never seen that error before. This is what other people see when trying to pay you, right?

It might be something specific to your account and not generalized. Though something like that cannot be processed over the forums.

Re: .Net blazor app on existing web hosting plan?

You can't open ports on the web hosting. Also, any process that you start is killed after 2 minutes, so nothing that requires a continuous process will work. A VDS likely needs to be used for this

Google can be really touchy about external emails. The instructions above should work for changing MX entries, here is an example: https://i.imgur.com/D5ZdVho.png Though note that even after changing these Google business might to try to keep managing emails (they love it when you move to their serv...

New VDS pricing is concerning

I've recently noticed the pricing update to VDSes. Old prices were simple: $5 x number of cores so 6 cores would be $30. Easy to calculate and not inconsistent. Now it's....well, just completely random, so I'll have to list out all the prices individually: 2 cores = $10 3 cores = $18 4 cores = $24 6...

It includes the entire service. If you are confused it should show what you will get on the order confirmation page.

Also, most of the world is still on PHP 7 so I'm not sure what software is PHP 8 only

Re: Single webhook calls to website resulting in multiple http calls.

I agree with Edge100x, it is clear that there are multiple requests from the source. Also, 200 response should happen by default if there are no problems. You can check that in your browser developer tools Network tab.
