Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

It's difficult to offer any useful advice when there's pretty much no information on what is going on with your emails. You might consider joining us in #nfo-support or writing a help request from the Help! option in the control panel

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

Yes, the from address should match the sender- and you are the sender, so it should be your domain.

What page were you looking at?

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

I meant add a From header with an address you control, not add a From header with the email it's already sending from, that wouldn't change anything as that's already where it's from. For example, whichever domain you added the DNS record to. It wasn't hosted18.nfoservers.com, you don't control that...

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

That is something that depends a lot on what you're sending, how you're sending it, etc, which is difficult to do without revealing any information. For one, I do see that you're not using a "from" parameter, just sending from hosted18.nfoservers.com, a domain which you don't control, and ...

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

You appear to be trying to send to the address "someone@gmail.com"- since someone else has likely taken that, I assume it's a different address that you've changed for privacy etc? The headers also have a clear error message: Gmail has blocked the email as suspected spam. You're able to se...

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

Oh, that shouldn't be happening. Normally the main problem is them being marked as spam, but they should still go through even if they aren't verified senders or are getting flagged for various reasons. Are you sure it's a valid address? It's also possible that email has been disabled completely, it...

Re: Gmail rejecting mail.

What exactly do you mean by "rejecting" mail? Are the sends bouncing or just being marked as spam? I've had a lot of problem with mail on NFoservers too so I can relate, but not sure what the problem is in this case

Re: Need to block a specific port?

In general it's better to use the Firewall page as that way they will never even reach the machine at all.

The options to block specific ports are only available TCP and UCP, not IDMP

Re: Need to block a specific port?

You can block ports through the Firewall tab on the control panel. I can give more specific instructions if you specify if this is a DS or VDS, and what OS it is running.

Re: Subdoamin

Yes, you can host a subdomain only on NFOservers web hosting. In order to do this, you'll need to either temporarily point the records to nfoservers and revert them later, or ask John to add the domain to your account. Once this is done, the domain will show in the Domains tab, and even though there...

Re: Ww3 servers?

No, NFoServers does not have support for WW3, either as a managed (V)DS or a standalone gameserver. You can run it on any unmanaged (V)DS though.

New bug I found. Query strings break page titles: https://www.nfoservers.com/order-virtual-dedicated-server.php title is "Order a Virtual Dedicated Server" https://www.nfoservers.com/order-virtual-dedicated-server.php? title is just the default "The highest performance. Guaranteed.&qu...

What is the difference between a VDS and a VPS?

VDS and VPS are similar terms in both name and meaning, and it is easy to get them confused. I even used to confuse them too. But here is the difference if you are curious. NFO only offers VDSes, although the marketing page does use VPS as an alternative name both due to SEO and to clarify for anyon...

Re: A lesser powerful VPS plan

I've asked John about less powerful plans before, he said no because if there is only one core and 1GB of RAM, most of that would go to running the OS and there is no room for anything else. And you are asking for half of that much RAM making it even worse. I personally would not recommend Node.js h...
