I do not believe that you can disable the default motd, are you wanting to use the ULX motd instead?

You can edit the ULX motd from the drop down list in your file manager tab: addons/ulx/ulx_motd.txt

Be sure this is in html or it will not display correctly.

You might try using a prop protection plugin, I haven't personally used one and I believe this one is a bit outdated which generally we recommend against running outdated plugins on garrysmod. It would help get you started in the right direction though. You may be able to find a more updated version...

Have you tried removing the files that you added right before this started? I would recommend doing that and see if the issue clears up. If not then you know it's not due to the files.

You can go ahead and update your maplist safely, I am not too sure about the gamemode options yet though.
