Hola, I recently changed my unmanaged KF2 servers back to workshop downloads from fastDL because I read that the issue was fixed. Unfortunately it does not seem to be fixed because I am currently consuming all of the HDD's IO on the latest non-beta server version. Does anyone have a solid workaround for this issue? Cheers. (will be posting sister topic on tripwire forums)
Update: FastDL for KF2 temporarily caches files for players in their /user/documents/my games/ folder and they will have to eventually redownload content. Some files can be very large. The best thing I've found to fix this is to place content on the server with no FastDL or workshop downloads and have players manually subscribe to a steam workshop collection.
