Re: Rekoil Servers

Ok this is driving me nuts. I have deleted and re-installed it. I installed the 4.5.1 .Net dependencies. Already have the Physx and DirectX installed. I still get a 1.1 Gig RAM usage at start up and the RAM usage increases fairly quickly. After a few hours it is easily passing 1.5 Gigs RAM. Sits around 2% CPU usage.

Also, my server does not show in the server browser. I have re-started and refreshed many time. Server is online, I can only connect to it directly though thru the IP.

Here is the admin panel screenshot.

Only changes I have made to the ini was to change the server name and added motd stuff, which doesnt seem to work either. I am really getting tired of second rate indie developers and their half ass releases.

I did have the region in the server file, but removed it.

Only thing I can think to try next is maybe setting the cores it can use. Maybe it doesnt like the 8 core setup?

BTW I am running the 64 bit version, if that makes a difference.

You login to the admin panel with the IP of your game server and port 4580 via your web browser.

So maybe there is something wrong with the game browser? Peak playing time and no players? I honestly expected the game to last at least 2 weeks before it died. This can't be right. And I have no filters set.

Could you please explain how to connect via the web browser?

BADABING! Solved!

You can not run the 64bit version for your server. Only the 32 bit version works. If you run the 64bit you have 3 times the memory usage, and usage increases drastically. Also, you server will not appear in the server browser. I am using the same setup config and it works with the 32 bit version. Now I am running at 320 megs RAM and 2% CPU usage.

Few, my grey hairs can stop multiplying now. Unbelievable!

Fire up your favorite web browser

For the address enter your game servers IP and 4580 for the port.

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:4580

You will want to create the admin name and password immediately before someone tried to hijack your server. It will create an admin.ini file on the server.

I tried it exactly like you said and got a message 'Could not load this page'

Firewall on your server blocking that port maybe? It should work just fine.
