Issues connecting NFO to xbox

Okay so I purchased a VDS/VPS yesterday, and I've been working since then to get this connected. So far I have installed open VPN and as I type this it is connected and my IP has changed to the servers IP. but even though my TAP windows driver is shared to my Ethernet, I still cant get it to work on my Xbox, I just get IP address errors and such, it doesn't even connect to the network. what should I do?

Have you tried using the alternate directions for the second type of OpenVPN installation?
