Day of Infamy maxplayers changes based on mode

Day of Infamy maxplayers changes based on mode

Hoping someone else here has experience with standalone day of infamy server.
On a 16 slot server, if I run offensive, sv_playlist nwi/mp and <map> offensive, it correctly shows 16 player slots in browser/game.
I'm trying to run a co-op server though. The odd thing is the modes in the mapcycle_coop, when running sv_playlist nwi/coop:

bastogne entrenchment - 6 player max
comacchio stronghold - 6 player max
ortona patrol - 6 player max
sicily stronghold - 6 player max
(now that I look I cant find which would go to 8 players, but there is some)
etc ...

I see this across many other servers in the list too, so I was convinced it's a limitation by gamemodes enforced by the game.
But then I saw a few coop servers that have bigger player counts so there must be some way...
Event further, only some combination of game mode and maps show up in the game browser!

well, after some digging, I found these cvars. I dont know which is active as they seem to be duplicate, but I'd venture a guess its the doi_ one

mp_coop_lobbysize
doi_coop_lobby_size

they are both capped at 8, so I have no idea how servers are going past it, maybe plugins :(
