QUESTION ABOUT VNC

Post by doguer »

Good night, I have doubts about log-in through VNC console, what user and password should I use, I try with the ones I use to SSH but it says incorrect.

If you are specifically referring to the "VNC console" page in the NFO control panel for our unmanaged VDS servers, the VNC connection itself will log in automatically and show you what the system is doing. Any login screen presented there would be the OS itself, and will use the same login that you use when connecting remotely, such as with SSH or RDP.

I believe OP may mean logging in through an external VNC client, in which case, the VNC credentials are different to use VNC (although, once you are logged into VNC, the login screen presented by the OS will accept your regular SSH credentials).

The VNC credentials can be located at:

However, most of the time using VNC should not be necessary. In the rare case that it is, I would recommend using VNC as provided from the control panel as TimeX has said above.
