My Ping is Suddenly higher (new traceroute path)

Ever Since I've been living in my apartment I've had a ping to the server of about 30ms-40ms to my VDS

Suddenly since last night, my ping has risen to 60-70ms to my VDS.

Looking at the traceroute, I assume it's on comcast end. About four more hops have been added before it hits Huntsville AL.

Is it possible that NFO can from their end alter the route and possibly get a new traceroute? I've never noticed hop 4,5,6,7 before. It usually goes straight from Florence to Huntsville. I'm seeing +~30ms now :/

Your best bet is to post that trace route with your home IP in a support request. We can have John take a look for you.
