Considering moving to HLSTATSX:CE

Post by IcEWoLF »

Been using GameMe for years now, but I think I might move over to HLSTATSX:CE since it's free.
How you guys like it so far?

Is it too different from GameMe?

Haven't tried it yet, personally. I'm still using psychostats for those needs. May have to test drive hlstats over the weekend to see.

I think HLSTATSX is better than the psychostats.
BTW does HLSTATSX:CE support BF3 yet?

You haven't used it, yet you say it's better? I would personally rather install it, configure it and test it before making an assumption. It would look nicer, but the install may be a pain the butt, which would be a big deal for me, as I do all of my own installs.

There is HLstatsX which is the paid/gameme version, and there is HLstatsX:CE which is the free version and what we offer at NFO.

As for differences, I don't know all of the features of both myself, but they are extremely similar.

PsychoStats is no longer being developed/supported, while HLSTATSX:CE sees new releases every few months. I'd go with HLX:CE, personally.

I'll be doing some testing to see what it's like, but I still like Psychostats, even though it's no longer being developed. Extremely easy to setup, and it just works. I like when things just work

I think GameME is the better all around product.I just switched backed to GameME after trying out HLstatsX: CE. Support tends to be faster & better, plus GameME currently supports games like BF3,which HLstatsX: CE doesn't.Also they're currently down to 1 developer atm,so updates and fixes could take a while. Not really that hard to install and run on a VPS,but there's a slight learning curve if you install it w/o a control panel.

On the topic of CE, I believe the latest version is 1.6.17, and your installer is still on 1.6.15.

Seems they just released that, excellent. I'll get working on changing the autoinstaller.

HLX:CE needs more coders with free time to add support for newer games like CS:GO and BF3.

Actually HLstatsX: CE already has basic support for CS:GO.

They still need more coders if we want to see support for other games like GameMe has.
