Terrafirmacraft SMP Installation

Post by LegacyRose »

Hello everyone! I really need your help.

I want to install the latest terrafirmacraft and have nei as well on my server. I tried to follow the instructions found at: http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/1909 ... -a-server/ however I keep getting the following error on my server console:

Code: Select all

Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile minecraft_server.jar
Please help me, im trying to surprise my boyfriend with getting this server running for just he and I special. It would definitely be amazing to give him that. :)

I look forward to hearing what you've got.

I am no expert on mods here, however trying every which way I know yielded the same results. With a corrupt or invalid .jar file. I am not sure past that as I had read several different help pages with no luck.

Hopefully one of the more minecrafty support techs can point out the mistake for us :D

Try uploading the minecraft_server.jar you're creating in binary mode.

How does one do that?

Also id be more than happy to have someone attempt the installation for us, perhaps you could even join us in playing with it afterward as well as hanging out in our other server. :)

In FileZilla, it would be under Transfer->Transfer Type->Binary.

In WinSCP, the drop down on the top right changes the mode, so just choose Binary instead of Default.
