Server Name not listed in Rust List ? Help!!!!

Post by slade0083 »

Hi.
I am buying a Seattle full machine and running a server.
At the beginning of the purchase, the list of servers appeared well, but from one day the list of servers is not shown in the list of community servers.
Is there a solution?
I've contacted Nfoservers support, but it seems to be a steam issue,
I contacted the Steam Customer Center, but the answer came as follows.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -
Hi,

Unfortunately, we can not directly provide support for dedicated servers.

Dedicated servers are operated by individuals and can not provide support for management or connectivity issues with the server. If you are having trouble accessing and playing with a dedicated server, we recommend contacting the server operator directly for assistance.

If you are running a dedicated server and are experiencing problems, we recommend that you get information and help from a dedicated server forum.

We appreciate your understanding that we can not provide support for this issue.

Best Regards,
Chris

The game I run as a server on Nfoservers is Rust,
The server name begins with KRF.
There are two IP addresses: 162.248.94.27 / 162.248.94.96, both of which are 28015 ports.
(Seattle response time in Korea is about 100 ~ 160.)

 Steam API address

https://api.steampowered.com/ISteamApps ... .248.94.27

I can not see the list of servers located in Seattle.
It is also not visible in the Steam client server list.

It should look like this in Korea, but it does not appear like this.

I want to know if this is happening for some reason, and I want to solve it.
It is blocked by a firewall or I will give up.
However, the console command is used for connection.

The Rustafied Long II server in Chicago, the official server,
The list is well visible in Korea and the response speed is about 180 ~ 220.

If you know how to solve it, please reply.
Please.
I want to run the server for a long time.
Even if you want to operate a server in Korea, you can not operate because of DDOS.
So here is the last place to choose.
Please.
Thanks for reading.

Since the server is showing as listed by the master server in the Steam API, it appears that you aren't doing anything incorrectly.

We know that the Steam browser has historically not listed all US servers to EU clients and vice versa. It is possible that Valve has chosen to limit US results shown to Asian clients as well, but it's difficult to say if that is their policy, because they have never admitted to this publicly.

You indicated that you can't see any Seattle servers in your client. Are you able to see servers in Los Angeles or San Jose? We also offer machines at those locations on the West coast of the US.

Can you tell the name of the server that is serving the location you are talking about? I can not find it.

So why is the Rustafied Long II server served by Nfoserver visible?
Is there another difference?
The list of servers currently located in Chicago is also invisible except for official servers.

At this time, all mode community servers served by Nfoservers except the official server are not retrieved at all.

From https://www.nfoservers.com/clientserverlisting.php
I searched Rust and tried searching one by one, but it does not show up.

We don't support the page that you gave any more, but you can get example servers for different games at different locations by visiting the order page at https://www.nfoservers.com/order.php and selecting the game type and location.

It does seem as though your client is not receiving the full list.

I'm using a Seattle full machine.
I do not understand why you should buy and try other equipment.

I'm not sure what you mean, because I did not suggest buying other equipment. I can't see a way that this would be a hardware-related problem.

This appears to be a problem between your client and the Steam servers, as I mentioned. If that is the case, then you could try using a VPN for further testing, or test with other servers to see if switching the IP address or location might help you to work around the glitch. You could also consider switching to a managed configuration so that you use our Rust server setup, but I don't think that would make a difference because you are already being published properly overall.
