What exactly do you mean by tweak? Are you having performance issues?

Yea - lots of lag, but seems to be more with the ddossing.

We reduced the zombies and it helped.
Lowering video settings for some helped.

It seems to suck up a lot of memory.
Hitting 60% give or take.

When I was testing 7dtd for potential hosting, I also noticed that it tends to be very piggy on resources. I'd expect that they will continue to address this as development moves forward.

I find the lack of a native console quite annoying as well.

Game is a huge resource hog and seems to consume RAM exponentially the longer the server runs. The admin program with it is a bit of a mess too. When it is backing up the world, CPU usage spikes. I ran a server for a bit, but got fed up with always dying. It gets very frustrating. Especially on say day 20+

We dropped the max zombies from 60 to 30 to 15. At 15 it was a bit more tolerable.
Also we do automated daily restarts to try and keep the memory in check.

Sorry to thread jack. But I'm trying to get 7 days to die running on a unmanaged VDS and it's not showing up on the server list in game or steam. Also can't find it by searching for IP.

I have a thread started here http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... 44&t=12681

p.s. admins do let me know if linking to another thread is frowned upon.

Thank You.
