How do I add a custom map from the Workshop?

Post by Spray »

  1. Subscribe to the map you'd like to use on the Unturned Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/bro ... pid=304930
  2. Navigate to the <path to your steam library>\steamapps\workshop\content\304930\ folder on your PC. This is where Workshop content is downloaded for Unturned.
  3. Connect to your game server via FTP. We offer a tutorial for connecting to your game server via FTP, linked here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8044
  4. Upload the folder corresponding to the Workshop ID for the map you'd like to use. You can find the Workshop ID in the URL for the map on the Steam Workshop, for example: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=XXXXXXXXX

"XXXXXXXXX" would be a number, corresponding to the Workshop ID for the file.
  5. Add "map <name of map>" to the Commands.dat file, via the File Manager tab of the control panel.
  6. Restart the server.
Note: Workshop maps are not automatically updated on the server. If the map updates on the Steam Workshop and you get a version mismatch for the map when joining the server, you will need to redo this process in order to update the map.
