My client can't seem to send mail! What do I do?

If your client isn't able to connect to our mail server (receiving a timeout, for instance), try changing the port that your client uses to 587 or 1025. Many ISPs (including Comcast) block any traffic to external hosts on port 25, but allow it on one of these other two.

If you're getting an error showing that your client could connect to the mail server but that it refused to accept the mail, double-check that you have SMTP authentication turned on, using the same username and password that you use for IMAP/POP3.
