I was over in the FoF steam forums, and ran across R_Yell's post about sending out email when there are updates. I thought you folks here would be interested in it, so here's the link to the post

NFO uses steam to check version numbers and update servers accordingly. I have noticed very frequent updates to our FoF servers, I assumed it was automatic.

We use a few systems to check for updates, but mainly we query Steam news and the mailing list. As long as the developers post there, we'll know about it.

If they wish to send out emails, that would be great, too, and we can tie that into the system.
I wish more developers would post to the Steam update news.
