Cant connect to server

I just got a 11 player private server. I change the rcon and server paswords and restarted the server. When i try to connect it retries to connect couple of times and give me this message: Failed to contact game server. I tried other servers and they work fine. Other people can get into my server but i cant!!!!! why ??? plz help plz

i think i figured it out. I cant connect as long as i have the control panel window open. thx for giving the link for irc

you should be able to have the control panel open and connect

Actually, I experienced a similar problem a few days ago performing some testing on my server for a customer in the support channel. I was testing out some of the AMXx features teamed up with fast http and I was unable to connect to my server. I closed the control panel and noticed that I was able to connect afterwards. It could be related but I will have to test it again just to be safe to make sure I am not going crazy.
