Resistance and Libaration

Post by Pendragon » Sun May 29, 2016 7:42 pm

Hello.

I would like to be able to host an RnL server.
Its a halflive 2 mod.

First i will explaine something about this game because it has an historie.

First its old website
http://www.rnlmod.com
Here you find the download link to the current playablr 1,6 relaise: http://www.moddb.com/mods/resistance-li ... 6-full-zip

This game is around for s few years now and it has its ups and downs but a active community.
Two years ago developement stoped and the active comunity whent smaller.
But stil its big..therr is a steamgroup called RnL hi activety anouncer and there over 3000 members.

Resendly RnL Posted an update that there making a reboor of the game on the unreal engine.
http://resistance-and-liberation.com
Due to its developing it wil take some time before this is going to be a playable game.

But. Because of.the anoucment and there new rnl steamgroup that has over 2000 playes
The old rnl 1.6 is getting populair again..
Because i want my clan to he active in this game. And i want to advise all other clan makers (in time this wil be many) to host there server here.

It would be cool.of thy can order this 1.6 version. And later on the new relaise of Resistance and Libaration.

This isn't a game we support, but it sounds like it'd be a good game to run on a self-managed VDS.

@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Odd. I had never heard of this game, and the older domains have long since expired. I downloaded this to check it out because I like WW2 games. It says it is a stand alone and everything you need to run a server. However, there is no EXE and zero documentation that I can find anywhere. Granted I only spent about 30 mins on Google, but everything was leading me to dead ends.

If this mod even functional? Can you actually run a server with this thing? Do you have any documentation links for getting a server online? It came with a server.cfg file, but nothing for the server command line.
