Odd Ping

I dont know if this is the place to post this, but here it is:

On the atlanta servers I seem to be pinging really bad to what I used to, but increased in the last few days. My ping went from, on average 90-110, to 100-160, a big jump, about a week ago, and just tonight 9:30 PST Sep. 14, 2004 my ping jumped to 650-800. I've had NFO servers before and they are always great, which is why this baffles me.

I live in Portland, Oregon. I connect through Comcast.net Cable, maybe a routing problem, or somthing of a sort.

Hmm, well the problem seems to have gone away, dunno what happened, but if comes back up ill post here and let you guys know

I live in Beaverton, which makes me your neighbor for the most part and I ping consistently in the 80's from comcast as well. I didn't notice any spikes at all. Make sure you aren't downloading or uploading files during some of the spikes because they will affect your latency. Here is a tracert I just did to our ATL server:
