Latency problems with Level3/Verio

Post by dL-Templisk »

Uh maybe just me, but we were playing aim_ak-colt with 14 people and we started getting heavy choke (100ish) I changed to aztec thinking it was the map and we had less choke but it was still a pain to play in. Is this related to the routing maintenace that was done yesterday?

Have you taken a look at your rate settings? That could be some of the problem. If you've been on any HLTV or WWCL servers you might want to readjust your rates because its likely that they were changed. If thats not the case than I suggest you do a trace route and email rentals@nuclearfallout.net to see if in fact there is a problem.

It was everyone ~_~ and I play exclusively on that server now, I think it may have been something to do with so many people on the server but I can't see how that would make my choke or loss or whatever get up to 100 on average..I traced my route not even 3 days ago and sent it and it was fine ~_~

Hmm. Well, I suggest sending an email to rentals@nuclearfallout.net and having them take a look.

I've never seen choke caused by anything but rate/updaterate/cmdrate setting problems, so I'd definitely recommend rechecking those.
