I finally got the MX 500 you recommended and I'm having some problems with it, I want to set the two thumb buttons "mouse4" and "mouse5" to voice command, though neither do anything at all while I hold them.

And my sensitivity is going to be a monkey to get working right because of the whole accurate mouse things vs the ball being a piece of crap...

should be bind mouse4 to "+voicerecord"

make sure you have the latest logitech drivers from the site :)
