Command-line parameter.
I'm trying to enable the workshop on my server but I need to add "+host_workshop_collection WORKSHOPID -authkey YOURKEYGOESHERE" to the command line parameter, where can I edit this? (It's garrysmod)

Re: Command-line parameter.
If you are on a managed game server, you can set this in the Easy Setup tab of your control panel and it will take care of this for you.

Doesn't go in the command line does it?
We have ours in the server.cfg.

How did you put it in there? Leave the api key part blank.=QUACK=.Major.Pain wrote:Doesn't go in the command line does it?

Re: Command-line parameter.
Pain, with Garrysmod, unfortunately it does need to go on the command-line, due to bugs/limitations in Garrysmod. Our "Easy setup" page takes care of this.

Re: Command-line parameter.
My mistake - we never used any of that.
We just added a workshop.vdf file with our mods, and when we started the server, the mods were automatically downloaded and installed.
Apparently we were running an older version of Garry's mod that just allowed installing the .vdf file.
But when trying to use wiremod, we couldn't access it.
I tried adding that info to the command line but created errors.
What is the WORKSHOPID?

Yes, but I don't understand where I put that in the controll panel.
Re: Command-line parameter.
Oh, it's now in the correct file but it doesn't download the addons I have in my workshop.
Re: Command-line parameter.
If you put it on the "Easy setup" page, you don't have to worry about the command line, because it does that for you.
If the files don't download, you should double-check the values to make sure they're right, and wait a bit longer to make sure you've given it enough time. If it still doesn't work, you may have to troubleshoot further with -condebug.
