Post by s8int »

it started yesterday we did a repair we updated plugins but it still keeps crashing its a regular server with amx super

Uploading dump (in-process) [proxy '']
/tmp/dumps/crash_20130513154021_1.dmp
success = no
error: Failed to open/read local data from file/application
./exec_s8int.run: line 255: 18737 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL_CMD

warning: Could not load shared library symbols for linux-gate.so.1.
Do you need "set solib-search-path" or "set sysroot"?

Have you tried running the server without AMX loaded to see if the crashes persist?

Alright, I would try removing the third-party plugins and re-adding them one at a time to see which one is crashing the server.

If you're running amxx, it also might be worth trying a different version. The major ones to look at are 1.8.2 and 1.8.3-dev-hg83. The latter one is in our autoinstaller.

I have heard other complaints from customers trying to run amx_super that it caused crashing. We removed it from our autoinstallers some time ago for this reason, and because it is pretty clearly no longer being developed/maintained by its authors.
