My VPS isn't connected to the internet.

Post by AsuraDevelopmentTeam »

My VPS isn't connected to the internet.

It says it's on a local internet but it can't connect to any websites and I cannot RD in.

It lets me VNC through the website and that's it.

Any clue on how to fix this?

Network also says "Unidentified Network - Limited"

Did you recently change locations or add/remove an IP to your VDS? If so, check the events log in your control panel for additional information on updating the IPs assigned to your network adapter.

No, I literally just bought the VPS and this is my first time on the VNC panel. I haven't changed anything.

It just isn't connecting to the internet. It says it's on a Limited, Unidentified Public Network.

Maybe that's it? Not sure. It just can't connect to anything.

In that case make sure that Windows firewall is fully disabled. It has a habit of blocking RDP natively.

It's not the RDP i'm worrying about. The VPS cannot connect to the internet. I cannot go to any websites on it. I don't mind if I can't RDP, I just was hoping that a VPS would be capable of connecting to the internet on a fresh boot before I change anything?

Like when I got to a site in IE it says "You're not connected to the internet".

And yes - the firewall is off.

In that case please contact us via the "help" tab in your control panel so we can take a deeper look and see what's going on.

Our responses times are pretty fast and replies normally only take 1-5 minutes.
