Installing BC2/Vietnam and BF3 servers on unmanaged VDS

Post by Tamvegas »

Our clan wants to get a new older title server. I had thought from other posts that on an unmanaged VDS 2-core server we would be able to install BC2, BC2 Vietnam and BF3. And would only have to pay an additional fee of .25 per slot for the BF3 server.

Am I correct? Or will we require a 4-core managed VDS for all the game titles?

And if a 2-core unmanaged VDS will work, would it work to have all three game servers installed and running at the same time (24 slots players on each).

If we have to go the managed VDS route, would the above server setup work?

Thanks

You would need to use a managed VDS for this, since these are restricted games that do not have public downloads available. It would not be a problem to run those servers at the same time on a 4-core managed VDS.

You would not be able to use an unmanaged VDS to host BC2/BF3 servers as the server files are restricted to RSPs only. Though, a standard four core managed should work just fine for what you want to run.
