[Backup software] Need recommendations

Post by Corvezeo »

I was wondering if you guys could recommend any type of backup software that could help with backing my server files automatically. I would really appreciate any/all information that could help me with this current issue i am having.

I need a software [Can be paid or free] That has been tested to work. I need something that can back up the files as if i would normally do so [copy and paste] I do not want it to go and create Image files or anything special. Just a simple copy and paste at set times/dates so i do not have to do so.

Any ideas?

What OS is the system you are trying to backup? Where are you trying to backup to(remote or local)?

Nothing wrong with a good rsync script! I used those for a while as long as you have another computer/server to send the files to. I have recently started using r1soft for daily incremental backups and have been pleased.

I had BackupPC working on a P.O.S. at work backend was Ubuntu the pos started as winXP then moved to win7
worked out pretty well.

seafile I have the server on Ubuntu and I snyc my pic's from note3 and my desktop. So I have access to what ever when ever plus it's backed up on the backend
