KF2 Server on VDS porting

Post by oldschool »

Was wondering if someone could help me?

I have 2 KF2 servers running on my 4 core vds /w 2 ips. I went and ordered an extra ip(Im assuming I needed it to run 2 instances). First server is unranked running custom maps, serverAds, Gui Map Vote, and 12 player slots.
Command Line:

Code: Select all

start .\Binaries\win64\kfserver kf-bioticslab?adminpassword=YeaRight?MaxPlayers=12?Multihome=192.223.24.204
I was able to claim and add this to gametracker, np.
Second server is vanilla-ranked.
Command Line:

Code: Select all

start .\Binaries\win64\kfserver kf-bioticslab?adminpassword=YeaRightMultihome=74.91.123.58
The second one I can't find on gametracker whatsoever. Even when its populated with 6 players?! So I know the server is up and running. I can connect to both thru Webadmin.

What do I need to change(I'm guessing its a porting problem) to get gametracker to recognize 74.91.123.58?

Any help would be appreciated as I'd like to link it via my website. Thanks!

You appear to have forgotten the "?" before "Multihome".

Did you add the IP to the VDS after you purchased it(this needs to be done manually).

You don't need a second IP to run another game server, but if you want the second server to use the default game port(so players can connect without specifying port) you need the second IP.

Yep, I added it manually.

I followed this thread...http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =68&t=5421

The only thing I can think to do at this point is deleting the server from gametracker and re-adding it. I hate to lose the standing and stats I have to this point.

If your issue was just adding it to GT, I managed to do it. Here is the server:

Did you change the query port to 27015? That is the default one for the game server, but GT seems to put it at 7778 for some reason.

7778 is the default port as coded in the game pcserver-engine.cfg I believe it changes to 27015 possibly due to Steam Dedi? Not sure...

I don't understand why gametracker would not let me add it...I don't know how the hell you did it. I'll try and claim it now, Thanks Bro!
