What package should I get?

Post by Echoboy »

I am looking into getting a VDS. I would be hosting a 32 slot DarkRP server of it. I feel okay with Windows Server 2012 but if needs be I can stretch to a Linux OS if it means I can get my package for cheaper and my performance improves.

If you're doing a single game server, I'd recommend you look at our standalone packages instead of a VDS as they'll be much more user friendly and remove a lot of the work required to run a single server.

But aren't they shared? I will also be looking into another DarkRP server.

You would share the overall machine with other customers, yes. Though, I wouldn't be worried about that as we keep machine usage extremely low and automatically load balance after 40% CPU usage. Our shared servers also run of off some of the fastest machines on our network and is generally faster then VDS's due to them being on bare metal and not in a virtual environment.

Okay, I see. So I would not experience anyone else usage?

Right, NFO allows X amount of resources for each customer (+ some leg room for spikes and stuff).

It's probably worth mentioning all services come with a performance guarantee:
