RDP Sound
Hello, Im new here and had a question regarding sound with my Windows VPS. For the life of me, I cannot Figure out how to enable sound on this RDP. If anyone could help I would very much appreciate it.
Re: RDP Sound
Sound should work as long as you set it to forward.
If you need something for in line with an actual sound card, you could try something like Virtual Audio Cable or VB-Audio Cable.

Re: RDP Sound
Hello thanks for the response. I tried what you said and installed a virtual output and input and this still seems to have no effect.
Re: RDP Sound
It may be that the Windows Sound Service is disabled. I have seen that happen a couple of times over the years.
Have you checked if it is enabled and running?

It seems ive figured this out. thanks for the help
Re: RDP Sound
Audio is disabled by default on Windows Server instances and needs to be enabled through services.msc.
It seems like oxy has figured this out already but wanted to post this for archival
