Updating Server

Post by .=QUACK=.Major.Pain »

I have a question about updating the server for DayZ.

Can the server be updated if the Six Launcher tool is installed on the server.

Reason I ask is that the person that set it up works 7 days a week at his business, and he is never around to fix things up. I do not know where to get all the required latest files.

It can be, yes. However it would require you manually transferring over the new files. It is pretty easy to do. In the original email sent by the DayZ devs there should of been a link to where you can get the files.

LOL - if you have access to that.

I used DayZ Commander. Worked great.

Only issue now I have is that my DayZ updated, but still shows out of date and will not update now. Can not get on any servers until I can update it.

For the most part tools like that work fine but in some cases they do not always update there base files fast enough.

Issue is that the update tools only install even numbered versions.

For odd versions, you have to manually install by downloading the torrent.
This was for the client side.
