VDS time jumping ahead by 25 minutes

Post by purebattlefield »

We have been having a recurring issue of the time on our unmanaged VDS jumping ahead by about 25 minutes. We have the time set to sync with time.nist.gov, but every so often it seems to get off about 25 minutes. It's more of an annoyance since the times on some of our logs get a little off and debugging other issues becomes a little more complicated. When we notice it's off, we just re-sync it with the internet time, until it decides to jump ahead again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The easiest way to fix this is to set NBT through the Windows Task Schedule to run much more frequently.
