Blocked ports in windows 2003 x64 problem

Post by tonytango »

Hi ,

I am new to hosting on a unmanaged vds so excuse me for being new to this :D

ok here is my problem, i have recently installed a game on my server and when trying to run it i get this message in console "Critical: Dedicated server can't listen: WinSock: binding to port 7777 failed (144730428)"

I have windows firewall disabled and i cannot see how the port is blocked unless it's on a router.... i really have no clue

Can someone help me please

If the server you're trying to launch allows you to specify an IP address, make sure that it's the one currently assigned to your VDS.

What is your command line? Are you using multihome in the command line?
