autoinstaller's
Trying to learn a lil about web page related stuff, can you tell me what does the autoinstaller do exactly, other than place files and folders in the web server. i don't really know how a database works and i'm assuming the autoinstaller inputs the values from the "desired username/login name", email etc etc. does that info get put in a file, say like admin.php or is in the database? is the database a file? hope these questions make sense, thanks in advance.
Re: autoinstaller's
Most website information is stored in a database, such as account information. The database itself is not a file, it is a remote service designed for storing or sorting through information.
The autoinstallers copy the files and place information in the database for you, more or less replacing the entire install process that you would normally have to do.
