Google PageSpeed Services

Post by Diglett »

Hello, I wanted to try the new Google PageSpeed Services on my domain (http://www.areyoucereal.com), it's similar to CloudFlare. There's currently nothing on areyoucereal.com, just a blanc page.

Google requires a www CNAME for pagespeed.googlehosted.com which I added:

But it keeps saying:

Could someone help me and explain to me how I can fix this, tyvm.

Point the @ to your public folder instead of areyoucereal

I don't think this will fix Googles service, but it will allow you to view your site and go from there.

Your error is from NFO web hosting, not google. You need to fix this error before you can proceed.

Do you have ANY files on your web hosting? Even just an index.html that says hi?

I know it's coming from NFO, that's why I'm asking it here.
Yes I do have ANY files, I have multiple sites here, and on this one I have a index.php saying hi.

Which folder are your web files in? Your @ record needs to point to that folder.

Edit: added a screencap from my phone of my domains tab

It's in the folder areyoucereal, which it is pointed to.

Is that folder in the same directory as public? Why not just use public?

Because I have bought a domain? I don't want to use <name>.site.nfoservers.com (im using the webhost, not a gameserver)

You don't need to create another folder just to use another domain, if that is what you were thinking. You can have multiple domains point to the same folder.

If the domain still doesn't seem to point to the correct location, please open a request with us, and we can look at your domain settings directly and folder structure directly.

Personally I found it easier to do TXT records. That works and gets you verified in less than an minute.
