Our Verio servers were down for about 12 hours last night starting at 11 PM PST; our provider installed a faulty network cable that brought all our machines offline there. They repaired the problem this morning and have assured us that it will never happen again. While the servers were down, we also installed a new switch -- a Cisco 2924xl -- that should reduce pings and improve packetloss and choke at the Verio location. This is the same model of switch we use at InterNAP Seattle.
