Extra memory option for VDSes; Java goes to 1.7

Post by Edge100x »

We've added an extra memory option for VDSes to our VDS/VPS order page. This is made possible by upgrades that we've been performing, though not all locations have full availability yet, and some configurations will not be available; the order response page after a submission will show whether a chosen configuration will work.

In other news, we've switched our default Java version (for Minecraft servers) from 1.6 (aka Java 6) to 1.7 (aka Java 7), following a testing period to confirm that 1.7 is stable enough for production. If you run a Minecraft server and experience a problem with the new version, please let us know, as the older version remains installed and we can switch back to it if necessary.
