Level3 Seattle

We're thinking of offering servers on Level3 bandwidth in Seattle and we'd like some input on it.

We don't currently have any game servers online on Level3 in Seattle, but we do have a pingable machine there. It's at 66.54.70.50.

Any input on whether we should expand with that offering would be appreciated. Level3 in Seattle would likely be priced the same as Level3 in LA.

I would be interested. From Bellingham I have one less hop and and a lower average ping to Level 3 than I do to Internap.

I think it is a novel idea. I know of some people who live in the Pacific NW who may not have the extra cash for Internap in Seattle but might not have desirable latency to Level 3 LA when that is the only location they can afford. If it is cost effective for NFo to do it, then go for it!

You must be like me.. want a server but not enough money for the good stuff... I lag more on the server in seattle more than my level 3 la anyhow, so I'm sticking with my current one

I pinged the seattle.nuclearfallout.com and ping about 15 and i have ping the other one too posted on top and ping 13, its the same ping as the seattlenap connection. Wished you had it up and running.

My average ping to my server: 61-66 (very good for me)
My average ping to seattle: 79-84

my ping is like 15-25 in the good seattle servers like the one nfo hosts even with out ping accel. With ping eccel it is just more consistently between 9-19. And for the level3 connection thats nfo has for a test ping my ping is like 13 was my average. So whats the info on the level3 server, if anybody evers sees this post

The test level3 server is accelerated.

It seems all nfo servers are accelerated. (I don't mean the ones we buy)

Shockwave is the only community server that isn't.
