I don't think that it would quite be enough for 64, but it's hard to say.

If we get your highest VDS machine (not the full machines) would we be able to run 64 bf3 servers?

Thank you

It's not as much about the package size as it is about the type of processor cores that your VDS is placed on. You would have to contact us in a support request so that we can check to see whether the speed of machine needed is available at your location.

have you guys confirmed the 25c extra charge per slot for your VDS machines yet... and do you think a x5675 can host a 64 player server per core?

The $o.25 slot price was mentioned to probably stay at that price for VDS and Dedi servers.

thanks for reply edge,

Doesn't hyper-threading alleviate some of the stress and allow you to run it more efficiently and smoothly even though the processor is below 3 ghz?

Thank you.

zulu: No, hyperthreading does not help for single-threaded workloads.

sorry to change the discussion a little bit,,but i was wondering if you have a time frame as to what time the servers will be up and running? that way i have a idea of when I need to get up to get this bad mamajamma up and working. It,s my first time hosting with NFO and from what I read here I am defiantly looking forward to a awesome relationship..

DICE is allowing hosts to have the servers up the day before release. This will give everyone a good chunk of time to have everything set up for the game's release.

What will the costs of the BF3 servers be after the pre-order time has expired?

Just asking because I wont have the funds available till after the first, so I wont be able to get a server pre-ordered.

Thanks. :)

The preoder pricing isn't special pricing, so it will be the same after the game is released. In time we may have to adjust the prices a bit after seeing more solid usage numbers, but there are no plans to do so as of yet.

And if you get your server, if they reaise the prices slightly, your locked into the lower price you signed up for.
