Server Not Filling? Try THIS!! (BF3)

This has worked for me on 2 of my battlefield 3 servers that weren't filling (the other has stayed full 24/7 from day 1). I changed the servers GUID in the Managed panel page. This resulted in the filling of my 2 servers (64 conquest and 32 Mixed modes) in 5 minutes. It was insane how fast they can fill.

How did u reset ur servers GUID? Where is it in the panel?

I am running a VDS, I don't know if it applys for per slot servers. For each of my games there is a "Managed Panel" this is where you wipe/restore, backup and set the server to restart every night. There is also a check box call "Reset the server GUID (only do this if you are sure, since the old ID will be destroyed)!" I checked and clicked reset. I hope this helps you.

Yeah i don't have that option in the list. All i have is wipe server and restore from backup.

If you would like your GUID wiped, please open a support request asking for us to do it.

Please be aware this is basically like changing your IP, All old traces of your server on Battlelog will disappear.

So this means if a player had our server in the favorites prior to getting a new guid it would no longer be there if it is reset ?

Yes, since BF games use like a server GUID to keep track of players.

Tried it and about 1 min later, 3 people on the server.
2 mins later 12 people.
4 mins later server full.

how is this helping fill servers. The pre-order servers getting bad quickmatch placement?

Honestly I am not sure how this is working either. Only thing that comes to mind is how Battlelog is determining which servers to use and the server GUID seems to be the winner.

ya, this really sucks, especially for me as when i set up my server i got it filled in 5 minutes, but there was some issue with he server name not showing up correctly, so i asked the NFO guys to do something that fixed that. ever since that, no luck getting random players


its almost like there is something about the script that sets up new servers does something right when reporting to EA.. but i am sure that is not whats going on.....

Our script copies files and turns on the server. It doesn't have anything to prevent a server from showing. If your server shows in Battlelog, then Blaze (EA's back-end) knows about it.

I've seen other servers that stopped getting quickmatch players when their names were changed, too. That could potentially be one of the things it looks at. How QM works exactly is a mystery.

Changing the GUID has had mixed results. Some customers say it helped, some say it hasn't.
