BF3 R10 update
Well at this time, I can confirm the R10 idle time working. I have it set to zero and am not being kicked form my ranked server for idling. Hopefully the crash problem is actually fixed too.
Now if I didn't have to be there frozen in place waiting for players to join...

Re: BF3 R10 update
i hope they fixed the players needed for unranked games. so at least people can practice/explore on an unranked locked server.
Re: BF3 R10 update
globel, unfortunately the only two issues addressed in R10 are the idle time and that single crash glitch. We'll have to keep pushing for the other changes!
Re: BF3 R10 update
I was disabling the auto slot thing and got this error:
The command vars.idleTimeout could not be executed on the server. It returned: 'CommandIsReadOnly'.
The command vars.idleBanRounds could not be executed on the server. It returned: 'CommandIsReadOnly'.

two basic fixes for a server release... DICE is really in slow motion.Edge100x wrote:globel, unfortunately the only two issues addressed in R10 are the idle time and that single crash glitch. We'll have to keep pushing for the other changes!
Re: BF3 R10 update
woowoo, this means that you're not running R10.
RadicalMode, they came out with this 24 hours after R9, which is pretty decent. The crash fix actually addresses most of the crashes that we've been seeing, so this was a big change, overall.

Re: BF3 R10 update
I don't think the auto capacity function works with R10. No matter what maxplayers I set it always shows on battlelog as a 32 person server, even though it may only be set to 4.
Re: BF3 R10 update
just updated mine to r10...i'll let you know if i can get anyone in a game...
Re: BF3 R10 update
Our 64 player server is running R10 and it was full for 6 hours then seems to have crashed. I'm currently out of town so I wasn't around to know exactly what happened so I'll ask some of my clan mates what happened to verify if it was another crash or not. Refer to my sig to see the crash...

Works on our server. Have it set from 8 to 64 and is sitting at 8 while seeding.Jeff7477 wrote:I don't think the auto capacity function works with R10. No matter what maxplayers I set it always shows on battlelog as a 32 person server, even though it may only be set to 4.

Re: BF3 R10 update
Anyone having issues with vars.gameModeCounter? Whenever I try to enter it, it says "UnknownCommand" via Procon.,
Re: BF3 R10 update
Does it work through the rcon tool on the "Server control" page of your control panel? That tool definitely would send the command to BF3, but I don't know if Procon would.
I just tested it on a server here and it did work.
The "Easy setup" page also runs this command every time it's submitted. If the server chokes on the command, you'll see an error on the response page.

It does appear to have worked through the Server Control page. It was added to the Startup.txt as well.Edge100x wrote:Does it work through the rcon tool on the "Server control" page of your control panel? That tool definitely would send the command to BF3, but I don't know if Procon would.
