I have used this in the past with our bc2 server and liked it. It was hosted.
Question procon users....is it still unstable and causes server crashes ? I use NFO's admin daemon and it works fine, but some features of procon are nice.
Is the risk worth the reward right now ? Yalls thoughts are appreciated. (keep in mind server crashes are extremely frustrating and unacceptible to me if I cause them)

Re: Procon
Yes, certain procon plugins can cause your server to crash.
I've disabled most of the procon plugins except few basic ones.
The ones that can cause your server to crash is InsaneBalancer/CSquadEnfrocer/Spambot.
I currently only run TrueBalancer and TKPunisher.
I use the NFo in game admin that is setup through control panel instead of using the procon one.
I also use the NFo control panel automatic server message addon.

Re: Procon
We use Procon and it's never crashed our server.
We use plugins:
Adaptive Server Size - 1.3.0.1
AdminIn & Spawn Message - 1.2.2.0
Bad Name Kicker - 2.0.0.0
Chat Filter BF3 - 1.0.0.1
Country Selector - 1.0.2.1
PB Screenshots - 1.0.0.0 (but disabled now that Procon handles it by right click player name)
Ping Players - 1.0.1.1
Server Rules on Request - 1.4.s1
Spambot - 2.0.0.0
Squad Enforcer - 1.0.2.0
Frostbyte Mapmanager - 0.1.0.9 Alpha
Insane Balancer - 0.0.0.5
Insane Punisher - 0.0.1.1
Teamspeak 3 Sync - 0.9.3 (not currently using)

Re: Procon
I use 3 different plugins with procon for our servers and not a single crash. Lost connection to the backend but that's different.

Does the slot adjuster cause players to have the black screen hang?.=QUACK=.Major.Pain wrote:We use Procon and it's never crashed our server.

Re: Procon
I think so - we stopped using it yesterday.
It does 2 things now:
1) the infinite black load screen.
2) tells players the server is full when it's not.

Re: Procon
We use the "Adaptive Server Size" plugin on our 64 slot and it works fine
From what I understand - the black screen problem is caused when you increase the size of the server AFTER the round has started.
This plugin always starts a round at the maximum server size and then a short time later it will kick in and scale the server down to whatever size you have it set up for over the number of current players
There is a setting - "On startup, assume round started at max server size" which should be set to NO
Right below that setting is another one where you input your max server size

Re: Procon
Going to try it again.
I had "On startup, assume round started at max server size" set to True.
Probably my problem.
