Where are tbans stored

Post by .=QUACK=.Major.Pain »

We have done a couple pb tbans, but I can't find them in the pbbans.dat or the banlist.txt

Where are they stored?

It is likely that they are only stored in memory by default. Do you see then in pb_sv_banlist output?

When I type that, it doesn't show any tbans.
Actually it only shows 113 bans.

My pbbans.dat actually has over 3000 bans in it right now.

Does that mean it's not loading all the bans?
It tells me 3036 bans loaded on pb restart but only showing 113.

You have one 8 slot server sitting empty and you have 3036 bans with 136 bans showing?

ROFLMAO.

What do you do, ban anyone who tries to join your server?

I admin in two communities, one with 4 64 slot servers and one with 10 64 slot servers. Both communities do not have 3000 bans, that includes bans from BC2. I am not sure we even have 136 hackers banned in just 2.5 months that BF3 has been released.

Thanks, I needed early morning laugh.

Pain's banlist is long partially because he is importing bans from other sources, I think.

Pain, the "pb_sv_banlist" command will only show a small number of results at a time (I've seen between around 90-120, depending on the length of the ban reasons involved). To see a particular ban, try narrowing the search criteria by name, number, or reason. For instance, through the rcon tool:

Code: Select all

!pb pb_sv_banlist "Major.Pain"

I think you need to read the thread again. I use PbBans (2890 bans) and ACI(348 bans) which adds up to over 3000 bans alone. We only have about 20-25 bans of our own.

And our server is a 32 slot server and not an 8 slot. Ever heard of a slot limit adjuster.

If your not running anti-cheat banlists, then your retarded.

Tried the above code and it shows perm bans, but no results for tbans.
Must be hidden in memory as you say.

Is it possible for you to darken the font in the Rcon panel.
Faint grey on white is very difficult to read.

Sorry MyOdessa.

It was in another thread I mentioned using multiple banlists.

You do realize you do not have to store bans from PBBans locally ?
If you go into your server manager at PBBans un-check Accept bans and check Enforce bans, this way none of the bans issued by PBBANS are stored on your server, instead it will check players as they join your server and kick them if they show up in the MBI data base.

Thought it would cause more lag sending check off and back to server.

Actually according to PBbans staff, enforce bans is less intrusive.

It is less intrusive and doesn't lag as much as the other option.

Changed it last night and played, but still had rubber banding.
Seems to run about the same.

Sort of helps with cleaning up the banlists.
Now it's just ACI banlist and personal bans.
