Origin Down?

What's up with origin?

A bunch of us can't get logged in.

yup, A couple of my servers are dieing out now because new people are not joining.

When I try to use Origin, it's telling me that it is switching to offline mode because it can't authenticate. I haven't heard any word yet from EA confirming the problem or providing an ETR, but this appears to be a global problem.

Edit: The @battlefield twitter feed at http://twitter.com/#!/battlefield is covered in their guys saying that they're working to fix it, but no additional information beyond that.

Also tried forgot password link and message says Password Recovery system is down.

EA is garbage anyway. Only good thing they've released is SWtOR, and that doesn't require that Origin garbage.

Too bad they didn't allow through Steam.
Steam sucks too, but never had this problem in all the years using them.

This seems to have cleared up around noon PST. You may need to restart your Origin client to come online again.
