Battlefield 3 Server Banners

How is it that only multiplay servers can use server banners? What were DICE thinking... this game is embarrassing. Do you guys know any way to add banners?

I think you won't be able to see it because im using some battlelog plugin... but theres banners

The only configuration option that we have is the banner URL, and you're welcome to experiment with that if you would like. AFAIK, Battlelog does not yet support them directly.

I had another person ask about banners today, and these are still a feature undocumented by DICE that we haven't been able to see in Battlelog. What is the special Battlelog plugin that you are running? Are others here running this plugin?

Back on the OP - has anyone figured out how to get the banner to work for the server browser?

We are still trying to sort that out ourselves. From what we have seen so far, every link to a page that has one working doesn't show for us, and every case of seeing a working banner has been screenshot only, and not an actual link. It may be that they are only working through the use of browser plugins. Even so, we are curious to know more.

A customer did tell me that he was able to get it to work with that 3rd party plugin by just creating his own banner that fit the same specs the other banners were using.

I do not have the plugin installed, myself. Battlelog itself still does not show banners, so the authors of that plugin are determining what gets shown and what it needs to be.
