Map Cycles BF3 question

Post by J-English »

Just an example,
Will These game modes work?

XP2_Factory GunMaster0 1
XP2_Factory Domination0 1

I know this does work,

XP2_Factory TeamDeathMatchC0 1

Just curious if the gunmaster and domination modes work. I dont use the map cycler as it doesnt really work for me on both of my servers.Constructing my own map cycle works great instead.

They should work according to the documentation provided by Dice for BF3. We also have an in-depth guide on which maps work for which game types here;

@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

All XP2_ maps support the four game modes made specifically for Close Quarters -- TeamDeathMatchC0, Domination0, GunMaster0, and SquadDeathMatch0. We talk about this in the help on the "Easy setup" page, as well, under "What maps and modes are available?"

The admin daemon's map cycler has no known bugs and should work properly. It would be easiest for most users to use this, as it bakes in knowledge of what maps support which modes.

Is the CQ TDM any different from other TDM? Wasn't sure why they used a different name for the game mode.
