So, I've managed to figure out most things on my own so far. I've got java installed, moved over all my server files, made an executable .sh script to run the server with, and fired it up.
The server seems to start up without any issues, just like it would on my home pc, and I get this message, which implies that it's querying my ip and port.

However, I can't access the server in-game. Is there something I have to do in order to open up that port?
Once I try to connect with direct connect in my client, I get this:

Nevermind. It seems the authentication servers are down. I'll try again after they come back up, and let you know if the problem persists.

Sessions servers are back online now. I'm not getting the same error I was, but I'm still unable to connect.
I haven't done anything to open the 25565 port that I'm querying, so I'd say that's what it is. Any tips on how to do so would be appreciated.
